耶穌應之曰：『狐有丘、鳥有巢、人子獨無枕首地。』

Jesus replied,“ Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

And Jesus said to him,“ Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”

Jesus told him,“ Foxes have dens, and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

And Jesus said to him,“ The foxes have holes and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

And Jesus said to him,“ Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

And Jesus said unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

我親愛的弟兄們，請聽：神不是揀選了在世上被認為貧窮的人嗎？這些人卻在信心上富足，而且是承受神的國的人。這國是神應許賜給愛他的人的。

“如果有人到我這裡來，愛我不超過愛（“愛我不超過愛”原文作“不恨”）自己的父母、妻子、兒女、兄弟、姊妹，甚至自己的性命，就不能作我的門徒。凡不背著自己的十字架跟隨我的，也不能作我的門徒。你們當中有誰要蓋一座樓，不先坐下計算費用，能不能蓋成呢？恐怕安了地基，而不能完成，所有看見的人都譏笑他，說：‘這個人開了工，卻不能完工。’或者一個王去和別的王打仗，哪有不先坐下想想，能否用一萬兵去抵抗那領兩萬來攻打他的呢？如果不能，就該趁對方還遠的時候，派使者去談判和平的條件。這樣，你們中間不論誰，如果不撇下一切所有的，就不能作我的門徒。

你們是知道我們的主耶穌基督的恩典的：他本來富足，卻為你們成了貧窮，要使你們因他的貧窮成為富足。

耶穌回答：“狐狸有洞，天空的飛鳥有窩，但人子卻沒有棲身﹙“棲身”原文作“枕頭”。﹚的地方。”

約書亞對眾民說：“你們不能事奉耶和華，因為他是聖潔的神；他是嫉妒的神，他必不赦免你們的過犯和罪惡。如果你們離棄耶和華，去事奉外族人的神，那麼在耶和華賜福給你們之後，他必轉而降禍與你們，把你們消滅。”眾民對約書亞說：“不，我們必定事奉耶和華。”約書亞對眾民說：“你們選擇了耶和華，要事奉他，你們為自己作證吧。”他們說：“我們願意作證。”

他的門徒中，有許多人聽了，就說：“這話很難，誰能接受呢？”耶穌心裡知道門徒為了這事議論紛紛，就對他們說：“這話使你們動搖嗎？如果你們看見人子升到他原來所在的地方，又怎樣呢？使人活的是靈，肉體是無濟於事的。我對你們所說的話是靈、是生命。然而你們中間卻有不信的人。”原來從起初耶穌就知道那些不信的是誰，那要把他出賣的又是誰。耶穌跟著說：“所以我對你們說過，如果不是父所賜的，沒有人能到我這裡來。”從此，他的門徒中有許多人退去了，不再與他同行。

萬軍之耶和華，我的王我的神啊！在你的祭壇那裡，麻雀找到了住處，燕子也為自己找到了安置幼雛的巢。

耶穌聽了，就告訴他：“你還缺少一件，應當變賣你一切所有的，分給窮人，你就必定有財寶在天上，而且你還要來跟從我。”他聽見這話，非常憂愁，因為他十分富有。
