但如果你們心裡懷著苦毒的嫉妒和爭競，就不要自誇、說謊而抵擋真理。這種智慧不是從上面下來的，而是屬地的，屬血氣的，屬鬼魔的。要知道，哪裡有嫉妒和爭競，哪裡就有混亂和各樣的惡事。至於從上面來的智慧，首先是純潔的，然後是和平的、謙和的、溫順的，滿有憐憫和美好的果子的，是不偏私、不虛假的；並且義行的果子，是由那些締造和平的人，在和平中種下的。

我親愛的弟兄們，你們應當知道：每個人都該快快地聽，不急於發言、不急於動怒，因為人的憤怒不能成就神的義。

主啊，現在求你鑒察他們的威嚇，使你的奴僕們能滿有膽量地傳講你的話語。求你伸出你的手，藉著你聖僕耶穌的名，使疾病痊癒，施行神蹟和奇事。」

這獸的七個頭中有一個好像受了致命傷，可是這致命傷得了痊癒。全地的人都感到驚奇，跟隨了這獸。

王就召來基遍人，向他們問話。這基遍人不是以色列人，而是亞摩利人中的餘剩者。以色列人曾向他們起過誓，掃羅卻因他對以色列人和猶大人的熱心而圖謀要殺滅他們。
