And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.And Elijah answered and said unto them, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.And again he sent the captain of a third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight.Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and consumed the two former captains of fifty with their fifties; but now let my life be precious in thy sight.

But if ye have bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, glory not and lie not against the truth.This wisdom is not a wisdom that cometh down from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.For where jealousy and faction are, there is confusion and every vile deed.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for them that make peace.

Ye know this, my beloved brethren. But let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:for the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

And now, Lord, look upon their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants to speak thy word with all boldness,while thou stretchest forth thy hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of thy holy Servant Jesus.

And I saw one of his heads as though it had been smitten unto death; and his death- stroke was healed: and the whole earth wondered after the beast;

And he said, Come with me, and see my zeal for Jehovah. So they made him ride in his chariot.
