主耶穌訓徒既畢、乃蒙接引昇天、坐天主右。

耶穌集十二門徒、而告之曰：『爾其識之！吾儕上耶路撒冷、凡先知所紀當臨於人子之事、悉將見驗。

惟予尚有洗禮當受、其事未成、衷心憂苦迫切、何可言喻。

眾聞斯言、又以耶穌已近耶路撒冷、意天國實現在即、耶穌乃復設喻而曉之曰：

而致景仰於耶穌乎？耶穌者、乃吾人信德之金聲玉振也。曩者彼為前途不可思議之神樂、

諭畢、即當眾目環視之際、攝引昇天、朵雲接之、杳然不能復瞻。

今我因聖神之促使、將赴耶路撒冷、遭遇如何、未可逆睹、第吾每經一城、聖神予我默示、謂我在耶路撒冷當受縲絏、患難重重；然吾於生命置之度外、無所顧惜。但望能完成吾之行程、及所受於主耶穌之使命、以證天主恩寵之福音而已。

洎乎其昇天之日是日也、耶穌既憑聖神、遺言於其手選之宗徒、乃昇於天。

嗚呼、聖道之玄妙、不亦浩浩其天、淵淵其淵乎哉！所謂玄妙者無他、即現於肉身、證於聖神、見於天神、傳於兆民、信於普世、而躋於光榮者也。

取葆樂腰巾、自束手足、曰：『聖神言猶太人在耶路撒冷對此巾所有者、亦將如是捆縛、以交付異族之手。』吾儕既聞是言、乃與本地同人共勸葆樂勿往。葆樂曰：『何事痛泣、令我傷心？吾因主名、不第被縛、即舍身於耶路撒冷、亦所欣願。』葆樂不聽、吾儕乃不復勸阻、惟曰：『願主旨之成』耳。

免難節既近、耶穌自知離世歸父之時將至；平生篤愛其在世之徒、至是愛之彌篤、蔑以加矣。

祝時、離眾升天、

基督今已昇天、位於天主右、一切天神及權德諸品、莫不翕然順服、統於一尊。基督在肉體上既備受苦難、則爾等亦應毅然抱此宏願。蓋肉體受苦、則與罪絕緣、

予出於父、而入於世、今則離世而復歸於父。』

蓋此神力、天主實已先施於基督之身、起之於死中、升之於諸天、位之於己右、

予不復在世、若輩在世而予則歸父。聖父乎！求父以己名義、保佑父所賜予之眾使成一體、猶父與予之為一體。

故曰：方其上昇、領回眾俘；普天生靈、恩澤是濡。夫既云上昇、則其先已降入地下可知矣。而彼之所以先降、而後昇於諸天之上者乃欲貫通上下、充塞萬有耳。恩澤所被、或為宗徒。或為先知、或傳福音、或充監牧、師傅、

曩予與爾相偕、故未以此語爾；今予辭別復命、爾中竟無問我何歸者！

耶穌心知門徒嘖有煩言、乃謂之曰：『爾等因是見礙乎？

聚精會神、看定目標、奮赴前程、必欲自附於基督耶穌、以臻上達庶幾無負天主之寵召。
