“ Don’t stop him,” Jesus told him,“ because whoever is not against you is for you.”

耶穌曰：『毋禁！蓋不與爾相敵者、即附爾者也。』

Anyone who is not with me is against me, and anyone who does not gather with me scatters.

To be sure, some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of good will.These preach out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel;the others proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, thinking that they will cause me trouble in my imprisonment.What does it matter? Only that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is proclaimed, and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding;in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.

No servant can serve two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

“‘ An enemy did this,’ he told them.“‘ So, do you want us to go and pull them up?’ the servants asked him.“‘ No,’ he said.‘ When you pull up the weeds, you might also uproot the wheat with them.Let both grow together until the harvest. At harvest time I’ll tell the reapers: Gather the weeds first and tie them in bundles to burn them, but collect the wheat in my barn.’”

“ From strangers,” he said.“ Then the sons are free,” Jesus told him.

Therefore I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says,“ Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say,“ Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

And whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you belong to Christ— truly I tell you, he will never lose his reward.

Then the men of Israel took some of their provisions, but did not seek the LORD’s decision.

When they came to Capernaum, those who collected the temple tax approached Peter and said,“ Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax?”
