两个人对着他们跺掉脚上的尘土，往以哥念去了。

“听从你们的，就是听从我；拒绝你们的，就是拒绝我；拒绝我的，就是拒绝差派我来的那一位。”

但那里的人不接受他，因为他是往耶路撒冷去的。门徒雅各和约翰看见了，就说：“主啊，你要我们吩咐火从天上降下来烧灭他们吗？”耶稣转过身来责备他们。于是他们往别的村子去了。

无论进哪一个城，如果人们不接受你们，你们就到大街上去，说‘连那沾在我们脚上的你们城里的尘土，我们也要当着你们擦掉，不过你们应当知道：神的国近了。’我告诉你们：在那日，所多玛所受的，将要比那城还容易受呢！

然后对他们说：“无论谁奉我的名接受这小孩子，就是接受我；接受我的，就是接受差派我来的那一位。要知道，在你们当中谁更小，他才为大。”

“无论谁奉我的名接受这样一个小孩子，就是接受我；接受我的，不是接受我，而是接受差派我来的那一位。”

耶稣吩咐他不要告诉任何人，说：“只要去把自己给祭司看，并且为了你的洁净，照着摩西所吩咐的去献上祭物，好对他们做见证。”

为我的缘故，你们将被带到总督和君王面前，好对他们和外邦人做见证。
