可是，犹太人反对、毁谤保罗。保罗便抖掉衣服上的灰尘，对他们说：“你们的罪都归在你们自己头上，与我无关！从今以后，我要去外族人那里了。”

保罗和巴拿巴便当众跺掉脚上的尘土，去了以哥念。

我抖着衣服说：“如果你们不守誓言，愿上帝也这样抖掉你们的家园和你们劳碌得来的，使你们一无所有。”全体会众都说：“阿们！”他们赞美耶和华，民众都遵照誓言去行。

耶稣继续对门徒说：“谁听从你们，就是听从我；谁拒绝你们，就是拒绝我；拒绝我的，就是拒绝差我来的那位。”

但撒玛利亚人见他们是上耶路撒冷去的，不肯接待他们。祂的门徒雅各和约翰见状，说：“主啊，你要我们叫天上的火降下来烧死他们吗？”耶稣转过身来责备他们。接着，一行人改道去另一个村子。

但如果哪一个城镇的人不欢迎你们，你们就到街上宣告，‘就连你们城里的尘土粘在我们脚上，我们都要跺掉，但是要知道，上帝的国临近了。’我告诉你们，在审判之日，那城所受的刑罚将比所多玛所受的还重！

然后对门徒说：“任何人为了我的缘故接待这样一个小孩子，就是接待我；接待我，就是接待差我来的那位。你们当中最卑微的其实是最伟大的。”

“任何人为我的缘故接待这样一个小孩子，就是接待我；凡接待我的，不单是接待我，也是接待差我来的那位。”

耶稣又嘱咐他：“不要把这事告诉别人，要去让祭司察看你的身体，照摩西的规定献上祭物，向众人证明你已经洁净了。”

你们要因我的缘故被带到官长和君王面前，在他们和外族人面前为我做见证。
