眾人都詫異神的大能。耶穌所做的一切事，眾人正希奇的時候，耶穌對門徒說：「你們要把這些話存在耳中，因為人子將要被交在人手裏。」他們不明白這話，意思乃是隱藏的，叫他們不能明白，他們也不敢問這話的意思。

他們離開那地方，經過加利利；耶穌不願意人知道。於是教訓門徒，說：「人子將要被交在人手裏，他們要殺害他；被殺以後，過三天他要復活。」門徒卻不明白這話，又不敢問他。

認得他是那素常坐在殿的美門口求賙濟的，就因他所遇着的事滿心希奇、驚訝。那人正在稱為所羅門的廊下，拉着彼得、約翰；眾百姓一齊跑到他們那裏，很覺希奇。彼得看見，就對百姓說：「以色列人哪，為甚麼把這事當作希奇呢？為甚麼定睛看我們，以為我們憑自己的能力和虔誠使這人行走呢？亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的神，就是我們列祖的神，已經榮耀了他的僕人耶穌；你們卻把他交付彼拉多。彼拉多定意要釋放他，你們竟在彼拉多面前棄絕了他。

他和一切同在的人都驚訝這一網所打的魚。

我們從前將我們主耶穌基督的大能和他降臨的事告訴你們，並不是隨從乖巧捏造的虛言，乃是親眼見過他的威榮。

眾人都驚訝，彼此對問說：「這是甚麼道理呢？因為他用權柄能力吩咐污鬼，污鬼就出來。」

耶穌對他們說：「你們的信心在哪裏呢？」他們又懼怕又希奇，彼此說：「這到底是誰？他吩咐風和水，連風和水也聽從他了。」

於是到他們那裏，上了船，風就住了；他們心裏十分驚奇。

他們還住在加利利的時候，耶穌對門徒說：「人子將要被交在人手裏。

萬軍之耶和華如此說：到那日，這事在餘剩的民眼中看為希奇，在我眼中也看為希奇嗎？這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

眾人都驚奇，也歸榮耀與神，並且滿心懼怕，說：「我們今日看見非常的事了。」

我要稱謝你，因我受造，奇妙可畏；你的作為奇妙，這是我心深知道的。
