and they recognized that he was the one who used to sit and beg at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. So they were filled with awe and astonishment at what had happened to him.While he was holding on to Peter and John, all the people, utterly astonished, ran toward them in what is called Solomon’s Colonnade.When Peter saw this, he addressed the people:“ Fellow Israelites, why are you amazed at this? Why do you stare at us, as though we had made him walk by our own power or godliness?The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has glorified his servant Jesus, whom you handed over and denied before Pilate, though he had decided to release him.

For he and all those with him were amazed at the catch of fish they had taken,

For we did not follow cleverly contrived myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; instead, we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

Amazement came over them all, and they were saying to one another,“ What is this message? For he commands the unclean spirits with authority and power, and they come out!”

Then he got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. They were completely astounded,

As they were gathering together in Galilee, Jesus told them,“ The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.

The LORD of Armies says this:“ Though it may seem impossible to the remnant of this people in those days, should it also seem impossible to me?”— this is the declaration of the LORD of Armies.

Then everyone was astounded, and they were giving glory to God. And they were filled with awe and said,“ We have seen incredible things today.”

I will praise you because I have been remarkably and wondrously made. Your works are wondrous, and I know this very well.
