Jesus said,“ You faithless and corrupt people! How long must I be with you and put up with you?” Then he said to the man,“ Bring your son here.”

耶稣说：“嗳！这又不信又悖谬的世代啊，我在你们这里，忍耐你们要到几时呢？将你的儿子带到这里来吧！”

耶稣回答：“唉！这又不信又悖谬的世代啊，我和你们在一起，忍耐你们，要到几时呢？把你的儿子带到这里来！”

耶稣回答：“唉！这又不信又悖谬的世代啊，我和你们在一起，忍耐你们，要到几时呢？把你的儿子带到这里来！”

耶稣回答说：“唉！这又不信又败坏的世代啊！我要跟你们在一起容忍你们多久呢？把你的儿子带来吧。”

耶稣说：“唉！这不信又乖谬的世代啊！我跟你们在一起，忍受你们，要到几时呢？把你儿子带到这里来吧！”

耶稣回答说：“唉，这个不信、歪曲的世代！我还要和你们在一起多久呢？我还要容忍你们多久呢？把你的儿子带到这里来吧！”

耶穌說：「噯！這又不信又悖謬的世代啊，我在你們這裏，忍耐你們要到幾時呢？將你的兒子帶到這裏來吧！」

耶穌回答：「唉！這又不信又悖謬的世代啊，我和你們在一起，忍耐你們，要到幾時呢？把你的兒子帶到這裏來！」

耶穌回答：「唉！這又不信又悖謬的世代啊，我和你們在一起，忍耐你們，要到幾時呢？把你的兒子帶到這裏來！」

耶穌回答說：「唉！這又不信又敗壞的世代啊！我要跟你們在一起容忍你們多久呢？把你的兒子帶來吧。」

耶穌說：“唉！這不信又乖謬的世代啊！我跟你們在一起，忍受你們，要到幾時呢？把你兒子帶到這裡來吧！”

耶穌回答說：『噯，沒有信心又乖僻的世代啊，我在你們這兒、容忍你們、要到幾時呢？領你兒子到這裏來吧。』

耶穌回答說：「唉，這個不信、歪曲的世代！我還要和你們在一起多久呢？我還要容忍你們多久呢？把你的兒子帶到這裡來吧！」

耶穌曰、噫、悖逆不信之世、我偕爾忍爾、幾何時乎、攜爾子來此、

耶穌曰、噫、不信悖逆之世、我偕爾忍爾、當幾何時、且攜若子來此、

耶穌曰、噫、悖逆不信之世歟、我偕爾忍爾至幾時乎、且攜爾子來此、

耶穌應曰：『噫！乏信乖戾之世代乎！予之偕爾容爾、將至何時？且引爾子來。』

“ You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied,“ how long shall I stay with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.”

“ You unbelieving and evil people!” Jesus replied.“ How long do I have to stay with you? How long do I have to put up with you?” Then he said to the man,“ Bring your son here.”

Jesus answered,“ O faithless and twisted generation, how long am I to be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.”

Jesus replied,“ You unbelieving and perverse generation, how long will I be with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.”

And Jesus answered and said,“ You unbelieving and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.”

Then Jesus answered and said,“ O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.”

And Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and bear with you? bring hither thy son.

Jesus replied,“ You unbelieving and rebellious generation! How long will I be with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.”

And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.

Jesus answered,“ You unbelieving and perverse generation! How much longer must I be with you and endure you? Bring your son here.”

Jesus answered,“ Faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.”

“ But they have acted corruptly toward him; when they act so perversely, are they really his children? They are a deceitful and twisted generation.

Jesus replied,“ Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you?

Jesus said,“ You faithless and corrupt people! How long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.”

Then he said to Thomas,“ Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!”

He put up with them through forty years of wandering in the wilderness.

“ How long must I put up with this wicked community and its complaints about me? Yes, I have heard the complaints the Israelites are making against me.

Jesus said to them,“ You faithless people! How long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”

So we see that because of their unbelief they were not able to enter his rest.

O Jerusalem, cleanse your heart that you may be saved. How long will you harbor your evil thoughts?

Then he asked them,“ Where is your faith?” The disciples were terrified and amazed.“ Who is this man?” they asked each other.“ When he gives a command, even the wind and waves obey him!”

But when he saw many Pharisees and Sadducees coming to watch him baptize, he denounced them.“ You brood of snakes!” he exclaimed.“ Who warned you to flee the coming wrath?

Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?

There your ancestors tested and tried my patience, even though they saw my miracles for forty years.So I was angry with them, and I said,‘ Their hearts always turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.’So in my anger I took an oath:‘ They will never enter my place of rest.’”

So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said,“ This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: How long will you refuse to submit to me? Let my people go, so they can worship me.

Then the spirit finds seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they all enter the person and live there. And so that person is worse off than before. That will be the experience of this evil generation.”

When Jesus saw what was happening, he was angry with his disciples. He said to them,“ Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children.

Then Jesus said,“ Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

The Lord asked Moses,“ How long will these people refuse to obey my commands and instructions?

When Jesus heard him, he stopped and said,“ Tell him to come here.” So they called the blind man.“ Cheer up,” they said.“ Come on, he’s calling you!”

So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall.

And the Lord said to Moses,“ How long will these people treat me with contempt? Will they never believe me, even after all the miraculous signs I have done among them?

Only an evil, adulterous generation would demand a miraculous sign, but the only sign I will give them is the sign of the prophet Jonah.” Then Jesus left them and went away.

But Jesus replied,“ Only an evil, adulterous generation would demand a miraculous sign; but the only sign I will give them is the sign of the prophet Jonah.

Then they will not be like their ancestors— stubborn, rebellious, and unfaithful, refusing to give their hearts to God.

But when Elisha, the man of God, heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes in dismay, he sent this message to him:“ Why are you so upset? Send Naaman to me, and he will learn that there is a true prophet here in Israel.”

Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners,“ Save yourselves from this crooked generation!”

Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.

For this good news— that God has prepared this rest— has been announced to us just as it was to them. But it did them no good because they didn’t share the faith of those who listened to God.

I tell you the truth, this judgment will fall on this very generation.
