The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”Again, a second time he went away, and prayed, saying,“ My Father, if this cup can’t pass away from me unless I drink it, your desire be done.”He came again and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.

Yet I heard the voice of his words. When I heard the voice of his words, then I fell into a deep sleep on my face, with my face toward the ground.

Moses said,“ Please show me your glory.”He said,“ I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim Yahweh’s name before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.”He said,“ You cannot see my face, for man may not see me and live.”Yahweh also said,“ Behold, there is a place by me, and you shall stand on the rock.It will happen, while my glory passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and will cover you with my hand until I have passed by;then I will take away my hand, and you will see my back; but my face shall not be seen.”

They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.There will be no night, and they need no lamp light or sun light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever.

For we didn’t follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

“ Arise, shine; for your light has come, and Yahweh’s glory has risen on you.For, behold, darkness will cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but Yahweh will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you.Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
