白昼太阳不再作你的光，月亮也不再发光照耀你；耶和华却要作你永远的光，你的上帝要成为你的荣耀。

父啊，我在哪里，愿你所赐给我的人也同我在哪里，使他们看见你所赐给我的荣耀，因为创世以前，你已经爱我了。

他回到门徒那里，见他们睡着了，就对彼得说：“怎么样？你们不能同我警醒一小时吗？总要警醒祷告，免得陷入试探。你们心灵固然愿意，肉体却软弱了。”他第二次又去祷告说：“我父啊，这杯若不能离开我，必须我喝，就愿你的旨意成全。”他又来，见他们睡着了，因为他们的眼睛困倦。

我听见他说话的声音；一听见他说话的声音，我就沉睡，脸伏于地。

摩西说：“求你显出你的荣耀给我看。”耶和华说：“我要显示我一切的美善，在你面前经过，并要在你面前宣告耶和华的名。我要恩待谁就恩待谁，要怜悯谁就怜悯谁。”他又说：“只是你不能看见我的面，因为没有人看见我还可以存活。”耶和华说：“看哪，靠近我这里有个地方，你可以站在这磐石上。当我的荣耀经过的时候，我必将你放在磐石缝里，用我的手掌遮掩你，等我过去，然后我要将我的手掌收回，你就可以看见我的背，却看不到我的面。”

也要见他的面。他的名字将写在他们的额上。不再有黑夜；他们也不需要灯光或日光，因为主上帝要光照他们。他们要作王，直到永永远远。

我们从前把我们主耶稣基督的大能和他来临的事告诉你们，并不是随从一些捏造出来的无稽传说，我们是曾经亲眼见过他的威荣的人。

兴起，发光！因为你的光已来到！耶和华的荣光发出照耀着你。看哪，黑暗笼罩大地，幽暗遮盖万民，耶和华却要升起照耀你，他的荣光要显在你身上。列国要来就你的光，列王要来就你发出的光辉。
