祷告完了，就起来，到门徒那里，见他们因为忧愁都睡着了，就对他们说：“你们为什么睡觉呢？起来祷告，免得入了迷惑！”

日头不再作你白昼的光；月亮也不再发光照耀你。耶和华却要作你永远的光；你神要为你的荣耀。

父啊，我在哪里，愿你所赐给我的人也同我在那里，叫他们看见你所赐给我的荣耀；因为创立世界以前，你已经爱我了。

来到门徒那里，见他们睡着了，就对彼得说：“怎么样？你们不能同我警醒片时吗？总要警醒祷告，免得入了迷惑。你们心灵固然愿意，肉体却软弱了。”第二次又去祷告说：“我父啊，这杯若不能离开我，必要我喝，就愿你的意旨成全。”又来，见他们睡着了，因为他们的眼睛困倦。

我却听见他说话的声音，一听见就面伏在地沉睡了。

摩西说：“求你显出你的荣耀给我看。”耶和华说：“我要显我一切的恩慈，在你面前经过，宣告我的名。我要恩待谁就恩待谁；要怜悯谁就怜悯谁”；又说：“你不能看见我的面，因为人见我的面不能存活。”耶和华说：“看哪，在我这里有地方，你要站在磐石上。我的荣耀经过的时候，我必将你放在磐石穴中，用我的手遮掩你，等我过去，然后我要将我的手收回，你就得见我的背，却不得见我的面。”

也要见他的面。他的名字必写在他们的额上。不再有黑夜；他们也不用灯光、日光，因为主神要光照他们。他们要作王，直到永永远远。

我们从前将我们主耶稣基督的大能和他降临的事告诉你们，并不是随从乖巧捏造的虚言，乃是亲眼见过他的威荣。

兴起，发光！因为你的光已经来到！耶和华的荣耀发现照耀你。看哪，黑暗遮盖大地，幽暗遮盖万民，耶和华却要显现照耀你；他的荣耀要现在你身上。万国要来就你的光；君王要来就你发现的光辉。
