Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus.

For Jesus is considered worthy of more glory than Moses, just as the builder has more honor than the house.Now every house is built by someone, but the One who built everything is God.Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s household, as a testimony to what would be said in the future.But Christ was faithful as a Son over His household. And we are that household if we hold on to the courage and the confidence of our hope.

Elijah appeared to them with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.Then Peter said to Jesus,“ Rabbi, it’s good for us to be here! Let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”—because he did not know what he should say, since they were terrified.

But now, apart from the law, God’s righteousness has been revealed— attested by the Law and the Prophets— that is, God’s righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ, to all who believe, since there is no distinction.For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Now if the ministry of death, chiseled in letters on stones, came with glory, so that the Israelites were not able to look directly at Moses’ face because of the glory from his face— a fading glory—how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness overflows with even more glory.In fact, what had been glorious is not glorious now by comparison because of the glory that surpasses it.For if what was fading away was glorious, what endures will be even more glorious.

Then beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He interpreted for them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.

Then He told them,“ These are My words that I spoke to you while I was still with you— that everything written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

They answered,“ John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, that one of the ancient prophets has come back.”

And he will go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the disobedient to the understanding of the righteous, to make ready for the Lord a prepared people.

Suddenly, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.Then Peter said to Jesus,“ Lord, it’s good for us to be here! If You want, I will make three tabernacles here: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

for the law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours; yet he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the land.Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land produced its fruit.
