耶穌對他說：「假如我要他等到我來的時候還在，跟你有甚麼關係呢？你跟從我吧！」於是這話在弟兄中間流傳，說那門徒不死。其實，耶穌不是說他不死，而是對彼得說：「假如我要他等到我來的時候還在，跟你有甚麼關係呢？」

我實在告訴你們，我不再喝這葡萄汁，直到我在神的國裏喝新的那日子。」

他得了聖靈的啟示，知道自己未死以前必看見主所立的基督。

惟獨見那成為暫時比天使微小的耶穌，因為受了死的痛苦，得了尊貴榮耀為冠冕，好使他因着神的恩，為人人經歷了死亡。

我實實在在地告訴你們，人若遵守我的道，就永遠不經歷死亡。」於是猶太人對他說：「現在我們知道你是被鬼附了。亞伯拉罕死了，眾先知也死了，你還說：『人若遵守我的道，就永遠不經歷死亡。』

我告訴你們，從今以後，我不再喝這葡萄汁，直等神的國來到。」

耶穌又對他們說：「我實在告訴你們，站在這裏的，有人在沒經歷死亡以前，必定看見神的國帶着能力臨到。」

然而，我把真情告訴你們，我去對你們是有益的。我若不去，保惠師就不會到你們這裏來；我若去，就差他到你們這裏來。

於是他們拿石頭要打他，耶穌卻躲開，走出了聖殿。

在我父的家裏有許多住處；若是沒有，我就早已告訴你們了。我去原是為你們預備地方去。
