惟我似蚓不似人、被人羞辱、被民藐視、凡見我者皆戲笑我、張口搖首、云彼是倚賴主者、主可拯救之、彼為主所喜愛者、主可救護之、

蓋喜人之榮、過於天主之榮也、

彼日將有多人語我云、主乎、主乎、我非託爾名傳教、託爾名逐魔、託爾名廣行異能乎、時我則明告之曰、我未嘗識爾曹、爾眾作惡者、可離我而去、

我見一白色大寶座、並坐之者、天地遁於其前、不復見、不復見原文作不復得可居之處

亞當七世之孫以諾、預言此等人云、主必偕其萬聖降臨、

為此、我受如此之苦不以為恥、蓋知我所信者為何、且深信其能保守我所付託至於彼日、

但我所誇者無他、惟誇我主耶穌基督之十字架、我賴之、世向我已釘十字架、我向世亦然、

彼被藐視、被人厭棄、備嘗痛苦、熟悉病患、彼於我儕前、若掩面之人、彼於我儕前若掩面之人或作猶人掩面不欲見之人被人藐視、我儕並未敬之、

彼以為為基督而受之辱、較伊及諸財尤寶、因望賞賚故也、

是以我為基督、以荏弱、凌辱、患難、窘逐、困苦為樂、蓋我弱時反強矣、

爾曹互相求榮、不求獨一天主所賜之榮、豈能信乎、

家主起而閉門後、爾曹立於外、叩門曰、主歟、主歟、為我啟之、彼將應曰、我不識爾自何而來、時爾將曰、我儕曾於爾前飲食、爾亦曾於我之街衢教誨、彼將曰、我告爾、我不識爾自何來、爾眾為惡者、皆離我去、
