凡是想保全生命的，必丧掉生命；凡是牺牲生命的，却必保全生命。

只知道在各城里圣灵都向我指明，说有捆锁和患难在等着我。但我并不珍惜自己的性命，只求跑完我的路程，完成我从主耶稣所领受的职分，为神恩惠的福音作见证。

你不要怕你将要受的苦。看哪！魔鬼将要把你们中间几个人下在监里，叫你们受试炼，你们要受患难十天。你要忠心至死，我就把那生命的冠冕赐给你。

爱惜自己生命的，就丧掉生命；在这世上恨恶自己生命的，必会保全生命到永远。
