Late in the day, the Twelve approached and said to him,“ Send the crowd away, so that they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find food and lodging, because we are in a deserted place here.”

Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said,“ Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here.”

Late in the afternoon the 12 disciples came to him. They said,“ Send the crowd away. They can go to the nearby villages and countryside. There they can find food and a place to stay. There is nothing here.”

Now the day began to wear away, and the twelve came and said to him,“ Send the crowd away to go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find lodging and get provisions, for we are here in a desolate place.”

Late in the afternoon the twelve disciples came to him and said,“ Send the crowds away to the nearby villages and farms, so they can find food and lodging for the night. There is nothing to eat here in this remote place.”

Now the day was ending, and the twelve came up and said to Him,“ Dismiss the crowd, so that they may go into the surrounding villages and countryside and find lodging and get something to eat; because here, we are in a secluded place.”

When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him,“ Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted place here.”

And the day began to wear away; and the twelve came, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages and country round about, and lodge, and get provisions: for we are here in a desert place.

Now the day began to draw to a close, so the twelve came and said to Jesus,“ Send the crowd away, so they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside and find lodging and food, because we are in an isolated place.”

The day began to wear away; and the twelve came and said to him,“ Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding villages and farms, and lodge, and get food, for we are here in a deserted place.”

Jesus did not say a word to her. His disciples approached him and urged him,“ Send her away because she’s crying out after us.”

They spoke against God, saying,“ Is God able to provide food in the wilderness?Look! He struck the rock and water gushed out; torrents overflowed. But can he also provide bread or furnish meat for his people?”

When it grew late, his disciples approached him and said,“ This place is deserted, and it is already late.Send them away so that they can go into the surrounding countryside and villages to buy themselves something to eat.”“ You give them something to eat,” he responded. They said to him,“ Should we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?”He asked them,“ How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” When they found out they said,“ Five, and two fish.”Then he instructed them to have all the people sit down in groups on the green grass.So they sat down in groups of hundreds and fifties.He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke the loaves. He kept giving them to his disciples to set before the people. He also divided the two fish among them all.Everyone ate and was satisfied.They picked up twelve baskets full of pieces of bread and fish.Now those who had eaten the loaves were five thousand men.

When evening came, the disciples approached him and said,“ This place is deserted, and it is already late. Send the crowds away so that they can go into the villages and buy food for themselves.”“ They don’t need to go away,” Jesus told them.“ You give them something to eat.”“ But we only have five loaves and two fish here,” they said to him.“ Bring them here to me,” he said.Then he commanded the crowds to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them. He broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.Everyone ate and was satisfied. They picked up twelve baskets full of leftover pieces.Now those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

Jesus called his disciples and said,“ I have compassion on the crowd, because they’ve already stayed with me three days and have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, otherwise they might collapse on the way.”

So when Jesus looked up and noticed a huge crowd coming toward him, he asked Philip,“ Where will we buy bread so that these people can eat?”He asked this to test him, for he himself knew what he was going to do.Philip answered him,“ Two hundred denarii worth of bread wouldn’t be enough for each of them to have a little.”One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him,“ There’s a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish— but what are they for so many?”Jesus said,“ Have the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass in that place; so they sat down. The men numbered about five thousand.Then Jesus took the loaves, and after giving thanks he distributed them to those who were seated— so also with the fish, as much as they wanted.When they were full, he told his disciples,“ Collect the leftovers so that nothing is wasted.”So they collected them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces from the five barley loaves that were left over by those who had eaten.When the people saw the sign he had done, they said,“ This truly is the Prophet who is to come into the world.”Therefore, when Jesus realized that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, he withdrew again to the mountain by himself.

After this, Jesus crossed the Sea of Galilee( or Tiberias).

I knew you in the wilderness, in the land of drought.

“‘ I will make a covenant of peace with them and eliminate dangerous creatures from the land, so that they may live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the forest.
