以利亚对她说：“把你儿子交给我。”以利亚就从妇人怀中接过孩子来，抱到他所住的顶楼，放在自己的床上。他求告耶和华说：“耶和华—我的上帝啊，我寄居在这寡妇的家里，你却降祸于她，使她的儿子死了吗？”以利亚三次伏在孩子的身上，求告耶和华说：“耶和华—我的上帝啊，求你使这孩子的生命归回给他吧！”耶和华听了以利亚的呼求，孩子的生命归回给他，他就活了。以利亚把孩子从楼上抱下来，进了房间交给他母亲，说：“看，你的儿子活了！”

他不喧嚷，不扬声，也不使街上听见他的声音。

于是他带着彼得、雅各和约翰同去。他惊恐起来，极其难过，

然后你回家，关上门，你和你儿子在里面把油倒在所有的器皿里，倒满了就放在一边。”于是妇人离开以利沙去了。她关上门，把自己和儿子关在家里。他们把器皿拿给她，她就倒油。器皿都满了，她对儿子说：“再给我拿器皿来。”儿子对她说：“没有器皿了。”油就止住了。

说了这些话以后约有八天，耶稣带着彼得、约翰、雅各上山去祷告。

“你们祷告的时候，不可像那假冒为善的人，爱站在会堂里和十字路口祷告，故意让人看见。我实在告诉你们，他们已经得了他们的赏赐。你祷告的时候，要进入内室，关上门，向那在隐秘中的父祷告；你父在隐秘中察看，必将赏赐你。

于是他带着彼得、雅各和雅各的弟弟约翰同去，不许别人跟着他。他们来到会堂主管的家里，耶稣看到一片吵闹，并有人大声哭泣哀号，就进到里面，对他们说：“为什么大吵大哭呢？孩子不是死了，是睡着了。”他们就嘲笑耶稣。耶稣把他们都赶出去，带着孩子的父母和跟随的人进了孩子所在的地方，

这十二个人有西门（耶稣又给他起名叫彼得），还有他弟弟安得烈，又有雅各和约翰，腓力和巴多罗买，

彼得叫她们都出去，然后跪下祷告，转身对着尸体说：“大比大，起来！”她就睁开眼睛，看见彼得，就坐了起来。

他上去伏在孩子身上，口对口，眼对眼，手对手。他伏在孩子身上，孩子的身体就渐渐暖和了。然后他下来，在屋里来回走了一趟，又上去伏在孩子身上。孩子打了七个喷嚏，眼睛就睁开了。以利沙叫基哈西说：“你叫这书念妇人来。”于是他叫了她来。妇人来到以利沙那里，以利沙说：“把你儿子抱起来。”
