“你们祷告的时候，不要像伪善的人那样。他们喜爱站在会堂里和十字路口祷告，好让人看见。我确实地告诉你们：他们已经得到了他们的报偿。至于你，你祷告的时候，要进入你的内室，关上门，向你在隐秘中的父祷告。这样，你那在隐秘中察看的父就将回报你。

然后他除了彼得、雅各和雅各的弟弟约翰以外，不准别的人跟着。他们来到会堂主管的家里，耶稣看见一片混乱，有人哭泣，有人哀号。耶稣进去对他们说：“为什么慌乱哭泣呢？孩子不是死了，而是睡了。”他们就讥笑耶稣。耶稣把他们都赶出去，只带着孩子的父母和一起来的人，进入孩子所在的地方。

西门——耶稣又称他为彼得，他的弟弟安得烈，又有雅各、约翰、腓力、巴多罗迈、

彼得叫大家都出去，然后跪下祷告，接着转过身对着遗体，说：“塔比莎，你起来！”那妇人就睁开眼睛，看见彼得，而且坐了起来。
