耶稣又设个比喻对他们说：“天国好比人撒好种在田里，在人睡觉的时候，他的仇敌来，把杂草撒在麦子里就走了。到长苗吐穗的时候，杂草也显出来。

耶稣就用许多比喻教导他们。在教导的时候，他对他们说：“你们听啊，有一个撒种的出去撒种。他撒的时候，有的落在路旁，飞鸟来把它吃掉了。

他用比喻对他们讲了许多话。他说：“有一个撒种的出去撒种。他撒的时候，有的落在路旁，飞鸟来把它们吃掉了。

“这比喻是这样的：种子就是上帝的道。那些在路旁的，就是人听了道，随后魔鬼来，从他们心里把道夺去，以免他们信了得救。

凡偏离你律例的人，你都轻看他们，因为他们的诡诈必归虚空。

“所以，你们要听这撒种的比喻。凡听见天国的道而不明白的，那恶者就来，把撒在他心里的夺了去；这就是撒在路旁的了。
