有猛禽飛落在這些屍體上，亞伯蘭就趕走牠們。

耶穌又說：「神的國就像這樣：有人在地上撒了種子，黑夜白晝，或睡或起，他卻不知道那種子怎樣發芽和長大。大地自然長出五穀——先長苗，再吐穗，然後穗上結出飽滿的子粒。當果實成熟的時候，他立刻伸出鐮刀，因為收割的季節到了。」

「你們是地上的鹽。鹽如果失去了味道，還能用什麼來把它醃成鹹的呢？它再也沒有用處，只好被丟在外面，任人踐踏。

耶穌對他們講了另一個比喻說：「天國好比一個人把好種子撒在自己的田裡。但是當人們睡覺的時候，他的仇敵來把稗子撒在麥子中間，然後離開了。到了麥苗長大結穗的時候，稗子也顯出來了。

耶穌用比喻教導他們很多事，在教導時對他們說：「你們當聽好：看哪，有一個撒種的出去撒種。他撒的時候，有的種子落在路邊，飛鳥來了，就把它吃掉了。

你輕視一切偏離你律例的人，因為他們的詭詐成為虛妄。

「所以，你們應當聽這撒種的比喻：無論誰聽了天國的話語而不領悟，那惡者就來，把那撒在他心裡的奪走；這就是那被撒上種子的『路邊之地』。

耶穌回答說：「那撒好種子的是人子。
