But the man from whom the demons were gone out prayed him that he might be with him: but he sent him away, saying,

The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,

And as he was entering into the boat, he that had been possessed with demons besought him that he might be with him.And he suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go to thy house unto thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and how he had mercy on thee.And he went his way, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men marvelled.

And all the people of the country of the Gerasenes round about asked him to depart from them; for they were holden with great fear: and he entered into a boat, and returned.

Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, And praise him in the seat of the elders.

Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised; And his greatness is unsearchable.One generation shall laud thy works to another, And shall declare thy mighty acts.Of the glorious majesty of thine honor, And of thy wondrous works, will I meditate.And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts; And I will declare thy greatness.They shall utter the memory of thy great goodness, And shall sing of thy righteousness.Jehovah is gracious, and merciful; Slow to anger, and of great lovingkindness.Jehovah is good to all; And his tender mercies are over all his works.All thy works shall give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah; And thy saints shall bless thee.They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, And talk of thy power;To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, And the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.

Thou shalt fear Jehovah thy God; him shalt thou serve; and to him shalt thou cleave, and by his name shalt thou swear.He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.

but they only heard say, He that once persecuted us now preacheth the faith of which he once made havoc;and they glorified God in me.

O Jehovah, truly I am thy servant: I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid; Thou hast loosed my bonds.

And thou shalt tell thy son in that day, saying, It is because of that which Jehovah did for me when I came forth out of Egypt.And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thy hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the law of Jehovah may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath Jehovah brought thee out of Egypt.

though I was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: howbeit I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief;and the grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief:howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me as chief might Jesus Christ show forth all his longsuffering, for an ensample of them that should thereafter believe on him unto eternal life.

Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare his works with singing.

Which we have heard and known, And our fathers have told us.We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of Jehovah, And his strength, and his wondrous works that he hath done.For he established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel, Which he commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children;That the generation to come might know them, even the children that should be born; Who should arise and tell them to their children,

But I am in a strait betwixt the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ; for it is very far better:

Thou art my hiding- place; thou wilt preserve me from trouble; Thou wilt compass me about with songs of deliverance.[ Selah

And it shall come to pass, when ye are come to the land which Jehovah will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?that ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of Jehovah’s passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

And it shall be, when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand Jehovah brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:and it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that Jehovah slew all the first- born in the land of Egypt, both the first- born of man, and the first- born of beast: therefore I sacrifice to Jehovah all that openeth the womb, being males; but all the first- born of my sons I redeem.And it shall be for a sign upon thy hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand Jehovah brought us forth out of Egypt.

O God, thou hast taught me from my youth; And hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.Yea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not, Until I have declared thy strength unto the next generation, Thy might to every one that is to come.

I will make mention of the lovingkindnesses of Jehovah, and the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.For he said, Surely, they are my people, children that will not deal falsely: so he was their Saviour.In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.But they rebelled, and grieved his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and himself fought against them.Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit in the midst of them?that caused his glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses? that divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name?that led them through the depths, as a horse in the wilderness, so that they stumbled not?

What shall I render unto Jehovah For all his benefits toward me?

But Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many of this man, how much evil he did to thy saints at Jerusalem:and here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call upon thy name.But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles and kings, and the children of Israel:for I will show him how many things he must suffer for my name’s sake.

The works of Jehovah are great, Sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.His work is honor and majesty; And his righteousness endureth for ever.He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: Jehovah is gracious and merciful.

And when he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the Most High God? I beseech thee, torment me not.

One thing have I asked of Jehovah, that will I seek after: That I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of Jehovah, And to inquire in his temple.
