連忙到獄中向他們道歉，領他們出監，又央求他們離開腓立比。

伯·示麥人說：「誰能站立在耶和華——這位聖潔的上帝面前呢？該把約櫃送到誰那裡呢？」

於是，全城的人都出來見耶穌，見到後，便請求祂離開那地方。

如果有人不歡迎你們，你們在離開那城的時候，就把腳上的塵土跺掉，作為對他們的警告。」

但如果哪一個城鎮的人不歡迎你們，你們就到街上宣告，『就連你們城裡的塵土粘在我們腳上，我們都要跺掉，但是要知道，上帝的國臨近了。』

他一見到耶穌，就仆倒在祂面前，高聲喊叫：「至高上帝的兒子耶穌，我和你有什麼關係？求求你，不要折磨我！」

他們對上帝說，『離開我們，我們不想學習你的道。全能者是誰，竟要我們事奉祂？向祂禱告有何益處？』

但我們何必冒死，被這烈火吞噬呢？我們若再次聽到我們的上帝耶和華的聲音，必然喪命。

耶穌繼續對門徒說：「誰聽從你們，就是聽從我；誰拒絕你們，就是拒絕我；拒絕我的，就是拒絕差我來的那位。」

他們請耶穌離開他們的地方。

大衛因耶和華擊殺烏撒而煩惱，就稱那地方為毗列斯·烏撒，沿用至今。那天，大衛懼怕耶和華，他說：「耶和華的約櫃怎能運到我這裡？」
