God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.

Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison

Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine( there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea.

Now a good way off from them there was a herd of many swine feeding.So the demons begged Him, saying,“ If You cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of swine.”And He said to them,“ Go.” So when they had come out, they went into the herd of swine. And suddenly the whole herd of swine ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and perished in the water.Then those who kept them fled; and they went away into the city and told everything, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men.

And the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

The Lord said to him,‘ In what way?’ So he said,‘ I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And the Lord said,‘ You shall persuade him, and also prevail. Go out and do so.’

Jesus answered,“ You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”

And the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”
