耶和華對撒但說：“好吧，他所有的一切都交在你手中，只是不可以伸手害他。”於是撒但從耶和華面前退去。

他回答：‘我要出去，在亞哈所有先知的口中，作說謊的靈。’耶和華說：‘你可以去引誘他，你也必能成功，你去這樣行吧！’

耶穌說：“如果不是從天上給你權柄，你就無權辦我；因此，把我交給你的那人，罪更重了。”

耶和華對撒但說：“好吧，他在你手中，不過，要留存他的命。”
