既濟、抵熱辣瑟境、甫登岸、有為穢魔所憑者自塚間出迎。是人素居墓中、雖鐵索亦不足以繫之、蓋一加鐵索、即斷索毀梏、莫之能制也。盤居山塚、日夜叫囂、復以石自擊、體無完膚。遙見耶穌、趨前拜跪、揚聲呼曰：『至尊天主之子耶穌、我與爾何涉、叨賴天主、幸勿相苦。』蓋耶穌命之曰：『穢魔、其離此人！』問其名、對曰：『吾名繁有徒、以吾黨極眾故耳。』且懇耶穌勿逐之出境。適有豕群放牧鄰坡、魔因乞曰：『縱我入豕群可乎。』耶穌許之。魔出、投入豕身、群豕自坡突奔、投海而溺、數約二千。諸牧者倉皇而逸、徧告邑村。眾出視、至耶穌所在、見患魔者整襟危坐、神志清明、不勝駭怖。目擊者且為眾道其始末。眾乃懇耶穌出境。耶穌復登舟、患魔者求之、欲常得追隨左右、不許、曰：『好自回家、與家人完聚、並以上主對爾所行及加爾之慈惠、向彼傳述可耳。』其人去至代加保利、宣揚耶穌洪恩、聞者莫不稱奇。

耶穌既抵彼岸、入加大拉境、有中魔者二人、自塚中出。兇猛特甚、無人敢經其處；大呼曰：『天主子耶穌、我與爾何干、乃先期來苦我耶？』近處適有群豕放牧；群魔懇曰：『必欲驅我出、請發我入豕群。』耶穌曰：『去！』鬼出、逕入豕身；頃刻群豕闖下山崖投海而溺。牧人逃入城中、報告諸事、及中魔者之遭遇。舉城出見耶穌、求其離境。
