The disciples went and woke him, saying,“ Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm.

The disciples went and woke Jesus up. They said,“ Master! Master! We’re going to drown!” He got up and ordered the wind and the huge waves to stop. The storm quieted down. It was completely calm.

And standing over her, He rebuked the fever, and it left her; and she immediately got up and served them.

Who stills the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the turmoil of the nations.

For He spoke and raised a stormy wind, Which lifted the waves of the sea.They rose up to the heavens, they went down to the depths; Their soul melted away in their misery.They reeled and staggered like a drunken person, And were at their wits’ end.Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He brought them out of their distresses.He caused the storm to be still, So that the waves of the sea were hushed.

Save me, God, For the waters have threatened my life.I have sunk in deep mud, and there is no foothold; I have come into deep waters, and a flood overflows me.

Waters flowed over my head; I said,“ I am cut off!”I called on Your name, Lord, Out of the lowest pit.You have heard my voice,“ Do not cover Your ear from my plea for relief, From my cry for help.”

Do you not fear Me?’ declares the Lord.‘ Do you not tremble in My presence? For I have placed the sand as a boundary for the sea, An eternal limit, and it will not cross over it. Though the waves toss, they cannot prevail; Though they roar, they will not cross over it.

and both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus* said to Him,“ They have no wine.”And Jesus* said to her,“ What business do you have with Me, woman? My hour has not yet come.”His mother* said to the servants,“ Whatever He tells you, do it.”Now there were six stone waterpots standing there for the Jewish custom of purification, containing two or three measures each.

But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and when he began to sink, he cried out, saying,“ Lord, save me!”

You covered it with the deep sea as with a garment; The waters were standing above the mountains.They fled from Your rebuke, At the sound of Your thunder they hurried away.The mountains rose; the valleys sank down To the place which You established for them.You set a boundary so that they will not pass over, So that they will not return to cover the earth.

Look to the right and see; For there is no one who regards me favorably; There is no escape for me; No one cares for my soul.I cried out to You, Lord; I said,“ You are my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.

He rebukes the sea and dries it up; He dries up all the rivers. Bashan and Carmel wither, The blossoms of Lebanon wither.

The snares of death encompassed me And the terrors of Sheol came upon me; I found distress and sorrow.Then I called upon the name of the Lord:“ Please, Lord, save my life!”

Simon responded and said,“ Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing, but I will do as You say and let down the nets.”

Why was there no one when I came? When I called, why was there no one to answer? Is My hand so short that it cannot redeem? Or do I have no power to rescue? Behold, I dry up the sea with My rebuke, I turn rivers into a wilderness; Their fish stink for lack of water, And die of thirst.
