The disciples went and woke him, saying,“ Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm.

The disciples went and woke Jesus up. They said,“ Master! Master! We’re going to drown!” He got up and ordered the wind and the huge waves to stop. The storm quieted down. It was completely calm.

Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death, so that we would not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead.He has delivered us from such a terrible death, and he will deliver us. We have put our hope in him that he will deliver us again

So he stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up immediately and began to serve them.

You silence the roar of the seas, the roar of their waves, and the tumult of the nations.

He spoke and raised a stormy wind that stirred up the waves of the sea.Rising up to the sky, sinking down to the depths, their courage melting away in anguish,they reeled and staggered like a drunkard, and all their skill was useless.Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress.He stilled the storm to a whisper, and the waves of the sea were hushed.

Save me, God, for the water has risen to my neck.I have sunk in deep mud, and there is no footing; I have come into deep water, and a flood sweeps over me.

Water flooded over my head, and I thought,“ I’m going to die!”I called on your name, LORD, from the depths of the pit.You heard my plea: Do not ignore my cry for relief.

Do you not fear me? This is the LORD’s declaration. Do you not tremble before me, the one who set the sand as the boundary of the sea, an enduring barrier that it cannot cross? The waves surge, but they cannot prevail. They roar but cannot pass over it.

and Jesus and his disciples were invited to the wedding as well.When the wine ran out, Jesus’s mother told him,“ They don’t have any wine.”“ What has this concern of yours to do with me, woman?” Jesus asked.“ My hour has not yet come.”“ Do whatever he tells you,” his mother told the servants.Now six stone water jars had been set there for Jewish purification. Each contained twenty or thirty gallons.

But when he saw the strength of the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out,“ Lord, save me!”

You covered it with the deep as if it were a garment; the water stood above the mountains.At your rebuke the water fled; at the sound of your thunder they hurried away—mountains rose and valleys sank— to the place you established for them.You set a boundary they cannot cross; they will never cover the earth again.

Look to the right and see: no one stands up for me; there is no refuge for me; no one cares about me.I cry to you, LORD; I say,“ You are my shelter, my portion in the land of the living.”

He rebukes the sea and dries it up, and he makes all the rivers run dry. Bashan and Carmel wither; even the flower of Lebanon withers.

The ropes of death were wrapped around me, and the torments of Sheol overcame me; I encountered trouble and sorrow.Then I called on the name of the LORD:“ LORD, save me!”

“ Master,” Simon replied,“ we’ve worked hard all night long and caught nothing. But if you say so, I’ll let down the nets.”

Why was no one there when I came? Why was there no one to answer when I called? Is my arm too weak to redeem? Or do I have no power to rescue? Look, I dry up the sea by my rebuke; I turn the rivers into a wilderness; their fish rot because of lack of water and die of thirst.
