爾其深味斯言、三覆思之；蓋有者必見增益、而無者則並其自以為有者、而奪之矣。』

Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.”

Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away.

“ But God said to him,‘ You foolish one, tonight your soul is required of you. The things which you have prepared— whose will they be?’So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

“ Let these words sink into your ears, for the Son of Man will be delivered up into the hands of men.”

Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.

Therefore we ought to pay greater attention to the things that were heard, lest perhaps we drift away.

If any man thinks himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him recognize the things which I write to you, that they are the commandment of the Lord.

There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

He called him, and said to him,‘ What is this that I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’“ The manager said within himself,‘ What will I do, seeing that my lord is taking away the management position from me? I don’t have strength to dig. I am ashamed to beg.I know what I will do, so that when I am removed from management, they may receive me into their houses.’

Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.

So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger;for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God.Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror;for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom and continues, not being a hearer who forgets, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn’t bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man’s religion is worthless.

so as to turn your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;yes, if you call out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding;if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures:then you will understand the fear of Yahweh, and find the knowledge of God.

He said to them,“ Set your heart to all the words which I testify to you today, which you shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.For it is no vain thing for you, because it is your life, and through this thing you shall prolong your days in the land, where you go over the Jordan to possess it.”

Many will tell me in that day,‘ Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’Then I will tell them,‘ I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’

For I say through the grace that was given me, to every man who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.

But when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not”( let the reader understand),“ then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains,

If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don’t have love, I am nothing.If I give away all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing.

If any man has ears to hear, let him hear.”He said to them,“ Take heed what you hear. With whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you, and more will be given to you who hear.For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away from him.”

But if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he doesn’t yet know as he ought to know.

though I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If any other man thinks that he has confidence in the flesh, I yet more:

Therefore I sent to you at once, and it was good of you to come. Now therefore we are all here present in the sight of God to hear all things that have been commanded you by God.”

Putting away therefore all wickedness, all deceit, hypocrisies, envies, and all evil speaking,as newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the Word, that with it you may grow,

“ Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, living in luxury every day.A certain beggar, named Lazarus, was taken to his gate, full of sores,and desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. Yes, even the dogs came and licked his sores.The beggar died, and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died, and was buried.In Hades, he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far off, and Lazarus at his bosom.He cried and said,‘ Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue! For I am in anguish in this flame.’“ But Abraham said,‘ Son, remember that you, in your lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in the same way, bad things. But here he is now comforted, and you are in anguish.
