Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.”

So be careful how you listen. Whoever has something will be given more. Whoever has nothing, even what they think they have will be taken away from them.”

Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away.”

人子將賣與人、當以此言藏諸耳、

故尤當務所聞之道、惟恐或遺、

有設教者、或感於神者、必知我所書、為主之命矣、

有自以其道為是者、不知其終歸於敗亡。

乃呼之曰、我聞人言、爾果有此事否、可出會計條目、爾不得仍為操會者矣、操會者意謂、主奪我操會、將若何、鋤無力、乞可恥、我知所為矣、若如是以行、則奪操會後、人必接我於其家、○

其人賢於帖撒羅尼迦人、以其願安受道、惟日玩索經文、果有此語否、

凡我良朋、宜速聽、宜徐言、宜懲忿、蓋人忿怒、無益於上帝道、故當去邪穢、遠諸惡、道栽培於心、祗承以救爾魂、不第聞道已也、實踐之、毋自欺、聞而不行者、譬人以鏡鑒面、過此以往、其形容若何、遂忘之矣、不強制人之良法、人詳察而常目在之、非猶夫聞而忘者、必若遵而行者、如是則得福、人自謂虔共、如不捫厥舌、乃迷厥心、則其虔共徒然、

傾耳聽道、專心學理、大聲而呼、亟求明哲、欲得智慧、索之若金、尋之若寶、夫如是、則耶和華上帝、所當寅畏、可得而知矣。

曰我今日告爾之言、汝必藏諸衷曲、亦當諭諸子孫、從此律法。此非淺鮮、乃爾生命所關、因是爾可於約但西所據之地、而享遐齡。

當日多人將語我曰、主也、主也、我非托爾名傳教、托爾名逐鬼、托爾名廣行異能乎、我將明告之曰作不善者、吾未嘗識爾、其離我去矣、○

我藉所蒙之恩、告爾眾、心勿高、度順理、勿過乎上帝所賦之信、

爾觀先知但以理所言、指殘賊可惡之物、立不當立之地、讀者宜致思焉、時、在猶太者、當避於山、

我如能言諸國方言、與天使之言、而無仁、則猶鳴金敲鈸、雖能先知、探奧、識理、且篤信得以移山、而無仁、則無益、雖罄所有以濟貧、舍身自焚、而無仁、則無益、

宜傾耳聽焉、又曰、慎所聽、爾度人若何、則見度亦如是、爾聽、必加賜爾也、蓋有者將與之無有者、幷其所有亦奪之、○

顧自為有知、則所當知之知不知矣、

雖然、我亦嘗恃儀文、若他人以儀文為可恃、則我更可恃矣、

故我遣人請爾、爾來甚善、今我咸在上帝前、願聞上帝所命爾者、○

當去諸暴戾、詭譎、偽善、媢嫉、毀謗、如孩提初生索乳、宜求真道、使爾漸長、

有富人衣紫袍細布、日事華靡宴樂、有貧者名拉撒路、生瘍、人置富者之門、欲以富人几下遺屑飽己、犬來舐其瘍、貧者死、天使扶置亞伯拉罕懷、富人亦死而葬、陰間痛苦之際、舉目遙見亞伯拉罕、懷中有拉撒路、呼曰、我祖亞伯拉罕、矜恤我、遣拉撒路指尖蘸水涼我舌、蓋此火燄中苦甚、亞伯拉罕曰、子當憶、生前受諸福、拉撒路受諸難、今彼慰、而爾苦焉、
