Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.”

So be careful how you listen. Whoever has something will be given more. Whoever has nothing, even what they think they have will be taken away from them.”

Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away.”

凡在我之枝、而不實者、則去之、實則潔之、使實尤繁也、

惟上帝謂之曰、無知者乎、今夜將索爾靈、則所備者誰歸、凡積財於己、而於上帝前不富者亦如是、○

爾宜以此言藏諸耳、蓋人子將見付於人手矣、

勿自欺、爾中或於斯世自以為智者、則當為愚以成智、

故我儕當益慎所聞者、恐或遺之、

有自以為先知、或屬聖神者、當知我所書、乃主之命也、

有一道焉、人以為正、終為死亡之路、

主呼之曰、我聞言及爾者何耶、陳述爾職、蓋爾不得仍為家宰也、家宰意謂、主奪我職、我將何為乎、鋤無力、乞則恥、我知所為矣、黜職時、令人接我入其家、

此邑之人、賢於帖撒羅尼迦人、以其樂於愛道、日究經文、果如此否、

親愛之兄弟其知之、各宜疾於聽、徐於言、緩於怒、蓋人之怒、非成上帝之義也、故宜去諸污穢惡慝、以謙和承所種之道、即能救爾靈者、惟宜行道、不第聞之而自欺也、蓋聞道而不行者、猶人觀本來面目於鏡、既觀而往、遂忘其何若矣、惟察夫純全之律、乃使人自由者、且恆於是、非聞而忘、乃遵而行者、斯人於其所為、必獲福矣、人若自以為虔敬、而不捫其舌、自欺其心、其虔敬虛矣、

傾耳以聆智慧、盡心以求通達、呼籲明哲、揚聲以求通達、尋之如銀、索之如寶、則必知寅畏耶和華、得識上帝、

摩西謂之曰、我今日告爾之詞、當存於心、命爾子孫、遵守斯律之言、此事於爾、所關非淺、乃爾之生命、由此得以延年、於渡約但而得之地、○

彼日多人將語我云、主也主也、我非以爾名宣道、以爾名逐鬼、以爾名廣行異能乎、我將示之曰、我未嘗識爾、作不法者其去我、

我藉所賜之恩、語於爾曹、自度勿越乎所當度、宜循理而度、依上帝所賦各人之信量、

讀經者宜悟哉、爾見穢惡摧殘者、立於不當立之地、斯時也、居猶太者、宜遁於山、

我若能言諸國諸天使之言而無愛、則猶鳴金響鈸、雖能預言、洞悉諸奧諸智、且篤信足以移山、若無愛、則我為烏有、雖罄所有以施濟、又舍身被焚、若無愛、則於我無益、

有耳以聽者、宜聽焉、又曰、慎所聽也、爾以何量量人、亦將如是見量、且加於爾焉、蓋有者將予之、無者並其所有亦奪之、○

若人自以為知則所當知者、尚未知也、

雖然、我亦有可恃於形軀者、若他人以形軀為可恃、則我尤可恃矣、

故我即遣人詣爾、爾來善矣、今我儕咸在上帝前、以聽主凡所命爾者、○

爾既霑主之仁澤、去諸惡慝、詭譎、偽善、媢嫉、毀謗、宜如甫生之嬰、戀純而合宜之乳、使爾由之漸長、以至蒙救、

有富者衣紫袍枲布、日事華靡宴樂、又有乞者、名拉撒路、通體生瘍、置於富者之門、欲食富者几下遺屑、犬來舐其瘍、乞者死、天使扶至亞伯拉罕之懷、富者亦死而葬、陰間痛苦之際、舉目遙見亞伯拉罕、有拉撒路在其懷、遂呼曰、我祖亞伯拉罕乎、矜恤我、遣拉撒路以指尖蘸水涼我舌、蓋我在此火燄中苦甚、亞伯拉罕曰、子乎、當憶爾生時、受諸福、拉撒路受諸難、今彼慰、而爾苦焉、
