Against such things there is no law.Now those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.If we live by the Spirit, let us also behave in accordance with the Spirit.Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, being jealous of one another.

For you need endurance in order to do God’s will and so receive what is promised.

The LORD your God will also cleanse your heart and the hearts of your descendants so that you may love him with all your mind and being and so that you may live.

But the person who endures to the end will be saved.

But he replied,“ Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”

so that you may live worthily of the Lord and please him in all respects– bearing fruit in every good deed, growing in the knowledge of God,

Do not be led astray, my dear brothers and sisters.All generous giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or the slightest hint of change.By his sovereign plan he gave us birth through the message of truth, that we would be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters! Let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.

So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you could be joined to another, to the one who was raised from the dead, to bear fruit to God.

So be patient, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s return. Think of how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the ground and is patient for it until it receives the early and late rains.You also be patient and strengthen your hearts, for the Lord’s return is near.

Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Instead, keeping God’s commandments is what counts.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have attained this. Instead I am single- minded: Forgetting the things that are behind and reaching out for the things that are ahead,with this goal in mind, I strive toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.Therefore let those of us who are“ perfect” embrace this point of view. If you think otherwise, God will reveal to you the error of your ways.

I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your body and give you a heart of flesh.I will put my Spirit within you; I will take the initiative and you will obey my statutes and carefully observe my regulations.

Therefore we must pay closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.

The person who has my commandments and obeys them is the one who loves me.
