這不法的人來，是靠撒但的運作，行各樣的異能、神蹟和一切虛假的奇事，並且在那沉淪的人身上行各樣不義的詭詐，因為他們不領受愛真理的心，好讓他們得救。故此，神就給他們一個引發錯誤的心，叫他們信從虛謊，使一切不信真理、倒喜愛不義的人都被定罪。主所愛的弟兄們哪，我們本該常為你們感謝神，因為他揀選你們為初熟的果子，使你們因信真道，又蒙聖靈感化成聖，得到拯救。為此，神藉着我們所傳的福音呼召你們，好得着我們主耶穌基督的榮光。

那撒在路旁的種子，就是人聽了道，撒但立刻來，把撒在他們心裏的道奪了去。

因為他們恨惡知識，選擇不敬畏耶和華，

要獲得智慧，要獲得聰明，不可忘記，也不可偏離我口中的言語。

但你們這些離棄耶和華，就是忘記我的聖山、為『幸運之神』擺設筵席、為『命運之神』裝滿調和酒的，

凡聽見天國的道而不明白的，那惡者就來，把撒在他心裏的奪了去；這就是撒在路旁的了。
