那『路邊之地』，是這樣的人：他們聽了這話語，然後魔鬼就來，從他們心裡把話語奪走，免得他們信而得救。

因為，如果有人是這話語的聽者，而不是實行者，這個人就像人對著鏡子觀看自己生來的面貌，看了就走開，立刻忘了自己是什麼樣子；

既然我呼喚了，你們拒絕，我伸出了手，沒有人留心，你們忽視了我一切的勸告，也沒有接受我的責備；那麼，你們遭難時，我就譏笑；你們的恐懼臨到時，我就嘲笑——

這不法之人的到來，是出於撒旦的作為，對那些正在滅亡的人，使用一切能力、虛假的神蹟和奇事，並且使用一切不義的詭計，因為他們不接受那能使他們得救的真理之愛。為此，神就把一種迷惑人的力量送進他們裡面，使他們相信虛假之事，好使所有不相信真理而喜悅不義的人，都被定罪。蒙主所愛的弟兄們，我們應該為你們常常感謝神，因為神為了救恩的緣故，就藉著在聖靈裡的分別為聖，以及真理的信仰，揀選了你們做為初熟的果子。為此，神也藉著我們的福音召喚了你們，使你們獲得我們主耶穌基督的榮耀。

那被撒上話語的『路邊之地』是這樣一些人：他們聽了話語以後，撒旦就立刻來把那撒在他們心裡的話語奪走。

正是因為他們恨惡知識，沒有選擇敬畏耶和華，

你要獲得智慧，獲得悟性；不要忘記、也不要偏離我口中的言語。

至於你們這些離棄耶和華、忘記我的聖山、為『幸運之神』擺設筵席、為『命運之神』倒滿混合酒的人，

無論誰聽了天國的話語而不領悟，那惡者就來，把那撒在他心裡的奪走；這就是那被撒上種子的『路邊之地』。

「有一個撒種的出去撒種。他撒的時候，有的種子落在路邊，被人踐踏，天空的飛鳥也把它吃掉了。
