耶穌走遍加利利，在各會堂裏教導人，宣講天國的福音，醫治百姓各樣的疾病。

若沒有奉差遣，怎能傳道呢？如經上所記：「報福音、傳喜信的人，他們的腳蹤何等佳美！」

凡聽見天國的道而不明白的，那惡者就來，把撒在他心裏的奪了去；這就是撒在路旁的了。

但耶穌對他們說：「我也必須在別的城傳神國的福音，因我奉差原是為此。」於是耶穌在猶太的各會堂傳道。

他設立的十二個人有西門－耶穌又給他起名叫彼得，還有西庇太的兒子雅各和雅各的弟弟約翰－耶穌又給他們起名叫半尼其，就是雷的兒子－又有安得烈、腓力、巴多羅買、馬太、多馬、亞勒腓的兒子雅各、達太和激進黨的西門，還有出賣耶穌的加略人猶大。

這十二個人有西門（耶穌又給他起名叫彼得），還有他弟弟安得烈，又有雅各和約翰，腓力和巴多羅買，馬太和多馬，亞勒腓的兒子雅各和激進黨的西門，雅各的兒子猶大和後來成為出賣者的加略人猶大。

這十二使徒的名字如下：頭一個叫西門（又稱彼得），還有他弟弟安得烈，西庇太的兒子雅各和雅各的弟弟約翰，腓力和巴多羅買，多馬和稅吏馬太，亞勒腓的兒子雅各，和達太，激進黨的西門，還有出賣耶穌的加略人猶大。

主耶和華的靈在我身上，因為耶和華用膏膏我，叫我報好信息給貧窮的人，差遣我醫好傷心的人，報告被擄的得釋放，被捆綁的得自由；宣告耶和華的恩年和我們的神報仇的日子；安慰所有悲哀的人，為錫安悲哀的人，賜華冠代替灰燼，喜樂的油代替悲哀，讚美為衣代替憂傷的靈；稱他們為「公義樹」，是耶和華所栽植的，為要彰顯他的榮耀。

我們報好信息給你們，就是那應許祖宗的話，

「主的靈在我身上，因為他用膏膏我，叫我傳福音給貧窮的人；差遣我宣告：被擄的得釋放，失明的得看見，受壓迫的得自由，

耶穌吩咐完了十二個門徒，就離開那裏，往各城去傳道，教導人。

耶穌走遍各城各鄉，在他們的會堂裏教導人，宣講天國的福音，又醫治各樣的病症。

於是他走遍全加利利，在他們的會堂傳道，並且趕鬼。

那天使對他們說：「不要懼怕！看哪！因為我報給你們大喜的信息，是關乎萬民的：因今天在大衛的城裏，為你們生了救主，就是主基督。
