For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth[ it].

蓋我權屬人、兵權屬我、命去即去、命來即來、令僕行是、即行是、

蓋我屬人轄、亦有兵屬我轄、命此去則去、命彼來則來、命僕行是則行是、

蓋予亦屬人權下、士卒又處予權下、諭此曰去即去、呼彼曰來即來、凡有所命、僕必從焉。』

For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one,‘ Go,’ and he goes; and that one,‘ Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant,‘ Do this,’ and he does it.

I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say,‘ Go,’ and they go, or‘ Come,’ and they come. And if I say to my slaves,‘ Do this,’ they do it.”

Servants, obey in all things[ your] masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:

Then Paul called one of the centurions unto[ him], and said, Bring this young man unto the chief captain: for he hath a certain thing to tell him.

And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said unto the centurion that stood by, Is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned?When the centurion heard[ that], he went and told the chief captain, saying, Take heed what thou doest: for this man is a Roman.

Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and[ his] doctrine be not blasphemed.And they that have believing masters, let them not despise[ them], because they are brethren; but rather do[ them] service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let[ him] have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.

And he called unto[ him] two centurions, saying, Make ready two hundred soldiers to go to Caesarea, and horsemen threescore and ten, and spearmen two hundred, at the third hour of the night;

Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.
