蓋予亦屬人權下、士卒又處予權下、諭此曰去即去、呼彼曰來即來、凡有所命、僕必從焉。』

For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one,‘ Go,’ and he goes; and that one,‘ Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant,‘ Do this,’ and he does it.

I myself am a man who is under authority. And I have soldiers who obey my orders. I tell this one,‘ Go,’ and he goes. I tell that one,‘ Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant,‘ Do this,’ and he does it.”

你们作仆人的，要凡事听从你们肉身的主人，不要只在眼前侍奉，像是讨人喜欢的，总要存心诚实敬畏主。

向他说话的天使去后，哥尼流叫了两个家人和常伺候他的一个虔诚兵来，把这事都述说给他们听，就打发他们往约帕去。

保罗请一个百夫长来，说：“你领这少年人去见千夫长，他有事告诉他。”

刚用皮条捆上，保罗对旁边站着的百夫长说：“人是罗马人，又没有定罪，你们就鞭打他，有这个例吗？”百夫长听见这话，就去见千夫长，告诉他说：“你要做什么？这人是罗马人。”

凡在轭下作仆人的，当以自己主人配受十分的恭敬，免得神的名和道理被人亵渎。仆人有信道的主人，不可因为与他是弟兄就轻看他，更要加意服侍他，因为得服侍之益处的，是信道蒙爱的。你要以此教训人，劝勉人。

于是吩咐百夫长看守保罗，并且宽待他，也不拦阻他的亲友来供给他。

千夫长便叫了两个百夫长来，说：“预备步兵二百，马兵七十，长枪手二百，今夜亥初往凯撒利亚去；

大略说：“革老丢吕西亚，请巡抚腓力斯大人安。

论到这人，我没有确实的事可以奏明主上。因此，我带他到你们面前，也特意带他到你亚基帕王面前，为要在查问之后有所陈奏。
