同席者相語曰、此為誰、而赦罪乎、

同席者私謂曰、此何人、而赦罪乎、

同席者心內云、此何人、亦赦罪乎、

同席者竊議曰：『彼何人斯、乃能赦罪耶！』

The other guests began to say among themselves,“ Who is this who even forgives sins?”

Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves,“ Who is this, who even forgives sins?”

And then those who were reclining at the table with Him began saying to themselves,“ Who is this man who even forgives sins?”

And those who sat at the table with Him began to say to themselves,“ Who is this who even forgives sins?”

And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that even forgiveth sins?

Those who were at the table with Him began to say among themselves,“ Who is this man who even forgives sins?”

“ What is he saying? This is blasphemy! Only God can forgive sins!”

But some of the teachers of religious law said to themselves,“ That’s blasphemy! Does he think he’s God?”

Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man,“ Young man, your sins are forgiven.”But the Pharisees and teachers of religious law said to themselves,“ Who does he think he is? That’s blasphemy! Only God can forgive sins!”
