同席者相語曰、此為誰、而赦罪乎、

同席者私謂曰、此何人、而赦罪乎、

同席者心內云、此何人、亦赦罪乎、

同席者竊議曰：『彼何人斯、乃能赦罪耶！』

The other guests began to say among themselves,“ Who is this who even forgives sins?”

The other guests began to talk about this among themselves. They said,“ Who is this who even forgives sins?”

Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves,“ Who is this, who even forgives sins?”

The men at the table said among themselves,“ Who is this man, that he goes around forgiving sins?”

Those who were at the table with him began to say among themselves,“ Who is this man who even forgives sins?”

And then those who were reclining at the table with Him began saying to themselves,“ Who is this man who even forgives sins?”

And those who sat at the table with Him began to say to themselves,“ Who is this who even forgives sins?”

And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that even forgiveth sins?

Those who were at the table with Him began to say among themselves,“ Who is this man who even forgives sins?”

And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?

“ Why does this fellow talk like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?” (niv)

When Jesus saw their faith, he said,“ Friend, your sins are forgiven.”The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves,“ Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” (niv)
