同席者竊議曰：『彼何人斯、乃能赦罪耶！』

The other guests began to say among themselves,“ Who is this who even forgives sins?”

Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves,“ Who is this, who even forgives sins?”

The men at the table said among themselves,“ Who is this man, that he goes around forgiving sins?”

And then those who were reclining at the table with Him began saying to themselves,“ Who is this man who even forgives sins?”

And those who sat at the table with Him began to say to themselves,“ Who is this who even forgives sins?”

And seeing their faith, he said, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this that speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
