Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself,“ If this man were a prophet, he would know who and what kind of woman this is who is touching him, that she is a sinner.”

那邀请耶稣的法利赛人看见了，心里说：“这个人如果是先知，就会知道摸他的是谁，是个什么样的女人，因为她是个罪人。”

那邀請耶穌的法利賽人看見了，心裡說：「這個人如果是先知，就會知道摸他的是誰，是個什麼樣的女人，因為她是個罪人。」

宴耶穌之𠵽唎㘔人見此、意謂是人若先知、必知捫之者為何如婦、蓋惡行者也、○

法利塞見而自思曰：「斯人苟為先知、當知撫之者為誰、寧不識此女乃風塵中人乎？」

When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself,“ If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is— that she is a sinner.”

The Pharisee who had invited Jesus saw this. He said to himself,“ If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him. He would know what kind of woman she is. She is a sinner!”

Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself,“ If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner.”

Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying,“ This man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.”

Now when the Pharisee that had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him, that she is a sinner.

When the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself,“ This man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what kind of woman this is who is touching Him— she’s a sinner!”

Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw[ it], he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman[ this is] that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he said to himself,“ This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what kind of woman this is who touches him, that she is a sinner.”

Fear seized them all, and they began to glorify God, saying,“ A great prophet has appeared among us!” and“ God has come to help his people!”

But the Pharisees and the experts in the law were complaining,“ This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”

They say,‘ Keep to yourself! Don’t get near me, for I am holier than you!’ These people are like smoke in my nostrils, like a fire that keeps burning all day long.

For from within, out of the human heart, come evil ideas, sexual immorality, theft, murder,

Then the Pharisees answered,“ You haven’t been deceived too, have you?None of the rulers or the Pharisees have believed in him, have they?But this rabble who do not know the law are accursed!”Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus before and who was one of the rulers, said,“ Our law doesn’t condemn a man unless it first hears from him and learns what he is doing, does it?”They replied,“ You aren’t from Galilee too, are you? Investigate carefully and you will see that no prophet comes from Galilee!”[[

Then when a woman of that town, who was a sinner, learned that Jesus was dining at the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfumed oil.

Therefore produce fruit that proves your repentance, and don’t begin to say to yourselves,‘ We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that God can raise up children for Abraham from these stones!

Then the manager said to himself,‘ What should I do, since my master is taking my position away from me? I’m not strong enough to dig, and I’m too ashamed to beg.

But the older son became angry and refused to go in. His father came out and appealed to him,but he answered his father,‘ Look! These many years I have worked like a slave for you, and I never disobeyed your commands. Yet you never gave me even a goat so that I could celebrate with my friends!But when this son of yours came back, who has devoured your assets with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!’

The woman said to him,“ Sir, I see that you are a prophet.

for he is like someone calculating the cost in his mind.“ Eat and drink,” he says to you, but his heart is not with you;

Jesus also told this parable to some who were confident that they were righteous and looked down on everyone else.“ Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.The Pharisee stood and prayed about himself like this:‘ God, I thank you that I am not like other people: extortionists, unrighteous people, adulterers– or even like this tax collector.

Then they summoned the man who used to be blind a second time and said to him,“ Promise before God to tell the truth. We know that this man is a sinner.”

Now some of the experts in the law were sitting there, turning these things over in their minds:“ Why does this man speak this way? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

There was a lot of grumbling about him among the crowds. Some were saying,“ He is a good man,” but others,“ He deceives the common people.”

When they heard these words, some of the crowd began to say,“ This really is the Prophet!”Others said,“ This is the Christ!” But still others said,“ No, for the Christ doesn’t come from Galilee, does he?

Gehazi, the prophet Elisha’s servant, thought,“ Look, my master did not accept what this Syrian Naaman offered him. As certainly as the LORD lives, I will run after him and accept something from him.”

For a while he refused, but later on he said to himself,‘ Though I neither fear God nor have regard for people,

When Jesus heard this he said,“ Those who are healthy don’t need a physician, but those who are sick do.Go and learn what this saying means:‘ I want mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

“ What do you think? A man had two sons. He went to the first and said,‘ Son, go and work in the vineyard today.’The boy answered,‘ I will not.’ But later he had a change of heart and went.The father went to the other son and said the same thing. This boy answered,‘ I will, sir,’ but did not go.Which of the two did his father’s will?” They said,“ The first.” Jesus said to them,“ I tell you the truth, tax collectors and prostitutes will go ahead of you into the kingdom of God!

So the last will be first, and the first last.”

so he thought to himself,‘ What should I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’
