利未在自己家裏為耶穌辦了盛大的迎賓席；當時有一大羣的收稅人、和跟他們一同坐席的其他人們。

有人就在那裏為耶穌豫備了晚飯；馬大服事着；拉撒路是同耶穌坐席的人之一個。

安息日耶穌進了一個做議員的法利賽人家裏要喫飯；人們直窺探着他。

有一個法利賽人請耶穌同他喫飯；耶穌就進那法利賽人家裏坐席。

眾人看見，都唧唧咕咕地彼此議論說，『「罪人」家裏、他還進去投宿呢！』

法利賽人看見，就對耶穌的門徒說：『你們的先生為甚麼跟收稅人和「罪人」一同喫飯呢？』

耶穌正說話的時候，有一個法利賽人請耶穌同他喫飯；耶穌就進去坐席。

耶穌和門徒也被請去赴婚筵。
