“ To what then should I compare the people of this generation? What are they like?

主又說：「我用什麼來比擬這個世代的人呢？他們像什麼呢？

耶穌又說：“我要把這世代的人比作甚麼呢？他們好像甚麼呢？

『這樣、我要用甚麼來比擬這世代的人呢？他們好像甚麼呢？

主又說：「我要把這世代的人比做什麼呢？他們好比什麼呢？

又曰、斯世之人、我何以比之、其何似耶、

主曰、斯世之人、將何以比之、又以何譬譬之耶、

主又曰、有原文抄本無此句斯世之人、我將何以喻之、彼何似也、

『夫斯代之人、予將何以擬之、彼亦何所似乎？

Jesus went on to say,“ To what, then, can I compare the people of this generation? What are they like?

And the Lord said,“ To what then shall I liken the men of this generation, and what are they like?

Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation, and to what are they like?

“ To what then should I compare the people of this generation, and what are they like?

And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?

“ To what then should I compare the people of this generation, and what are they like?

“ But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces, who call to their companionsand say,‘ We played the flute for you, and you didn’t dance. We mourned for you, and you didn’t lament.’For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say,‘ He has a demon.’The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say,‘ Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children.”

What shall I testify to you? What shall I liken to you, daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I compare to you, that I may comfort you, virgin daughter of Zion? For your breach is as big as the sea. Who can heal you?

He said,“ How will we liken God’s Kingdom? Or with what parable will we illustrate it?
