但他要凭信心毫不疑惑地祈求，因为疑惑的人三心二意，行事为人没有定见，就像海上随风翻腾的波涛，这种人从主那里什么也得不到。

果然，约翰出现了，他在旷野劝人悔改，接受洗礼，使罪得到赦免。犹太全境和耶路撒冷的居民都到约翰面前承认他们的罪，在约旦河里接受他的洗礼。

可是，你必不再居首位，因为你放纵情欲，如沸腾不止的水，你上了你父亲的床，玷污了我的榻。
