he sent them to the Lord to ask,“ Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?”

He sent them to the Lord. John told them to ask him,“ Are you the one who is supposed to come? Or should we look for someone else?”

calling two of his disciples to him, sent them to the Lord, saying,“ Are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?”

and he sent them to the Lord to ask him,“ Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?”

and sent them to the Lord, asking,“ Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?”

And after summoning two of his disciples, John sent them to the Lord, saying,“ Are You the Coming One, or are we to look for another?”

And John, calling two of his disciples to him, sent them to Jesus, saying,“ Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?”

And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to the Lord, saying, Art thou he that cometh, or look we for another?

and sent them to the Lord, asking,“ Are You the One who is to come, or should we look for someone else?”

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this. But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well- fed calves. (niv)

The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him.For this is what you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said,“ Let us not hear the voice of the Lord our God nor see this great fire anymore, or we will die.”The Lord said to me:“ What they say is good.I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. (niv)

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. (niv)

“ The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins,” declares the Lord.“ As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord.“ My Spirit, who is on you, will not depart from you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will always be on your lips, on the lips of your children and on the lips of their descendants— from this time on and forever,” says the Lord. “ Seventy‘ sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.“ Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven‘ sevens,’ and sixty- two‘ sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.After the sixty- two‘ sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. (niv)

A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. (niv)

Then Joshua son of Nun secretly sent two spies from Shittim.“ Go, look over the land,” he said,“ especially Jericho.” So they went and entered the house of a prostitute named Rahab and stayed there. (niv)

See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power, and he rules with a mighty arm. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. (niv)

And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.” (niv)
