Through all that they suffered, he suffered too. The messenger sent from his very presence delivered them. In his love and mercy he protected them; he lifted them up and carried them throughout ancient times.

As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on his faithful followers.

For we do not have a high priest incapable of sympathizing with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way just as we are, yet without sin.

Indeed, the people of Israel are my dear children. They are the children I take delight in. For even though I must often rebuke them, I still remember them with fondness. So I am deeply moved with pity for them and will surely have compassion on them. I, the LORD, affirm it!

But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and merciful God. You are patient and demonstrate great loyal love and faithfulness.

Though he causes us grief, he then has compassion on us according to the abundance of his loyal kindness.For he is not predisposed to afflict or to grieve people.ל( Lamed)

Now they were all wailing and mourning for her, but he said,“ Stop your weeping; she is not dead but asleep.”

They threw away the foreign gods they owned and worshiped the LORD. Finally the LORD grew tired of seeing Israel suffer so much.

Certainly O Lord, you are kind and forgiving, and show great faithfulness to all who cry out to you.

The LORD says,“ A sound is heard in Ramah, a sound of crying in bitter grief. It is the sound of Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because her children are gone.”The LORD says to her,“ Stop crying! Do not shed any more tears! For your heartfelt repentance will be rewarded. Your children will return from the land of the enemy. I, the LORD, affirm it!

Jesus said to her,“ Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?” Because she thought he was the gardener, she said to him,“ Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will take him.”

Therefore he had to be made like his brothers and sisters in every respect, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.

When Jesus saw her weeping, and the people who had come with her weeping, he was intensely moved in spirit and greatly distressed.He asked,“ Where have you laid him?” They replied,“ Lord, come and see.”Jesus wept.

“ I have compassion on the crowd, because they have already been here with me three days, and they have nothing to eat.

Then the Lord answered him,“ You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from its stall, and lead it to water?

and sent them to Jesus to ask,“ Are you the one who is to come, or should we look for another?”

They said to her,“ Woman, why are you weeping?” Mary replied,“ They have taken my Lord away, and I do not know where they have put him!”

After this the Lord appointed seventy- two others and sent them on ahead of him two by two into every town and place where he himself was about to go.

Now we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve like the rest who have no hope.

Then the Lord turned and looked straight at Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said to him,“ Before a rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.”
