Now it happened on another Sabbath, also, that He entered the synagogue and taught. And a man was there whose right hand was withered.

On another Sabbath he went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was shriveled.

And He entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand.So they watched Him closely, whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him.And He said to the man who had the withered hand,“ Step forward.”Then He said to them,“ Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they kept silent.And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man,“ Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.

Now when He had departed from there, He went into their synagogue.And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”— that they might accuse Him.Then He said to them,“ What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out?Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”Then He said to the man,“ Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and it was restored as whole as the other.Then the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him.

Then He went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths.

So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.

In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.

Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.

Therefore some of the Pharisees said,“ This Man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath.” Others said,“ How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” And there was a division among them.

And Jesus, answering, spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”

And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd,“ There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.”

Now it happened on the second Sabbath after the first that He went through the grainfields. And His disciples plucked the heads of grain and ate them, rubbing them in their hands.

So it came to pass when King Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, who cried out against the altar in Bethel, that he stretched out his hand from the altar, saying,“ Arrest him!” Then his hand, which he stretched out toward him, withered, so that he could not pull it back to himself.

“ Woe to the worthless shepherd, Who leaves the flock! A sword shall be against his arm And against his right eye; His arm shall completely wither, And his right eye shall be totally blinded.”
