He entered a synagogue again; and a man was there whose hand was withered.And they were watching Him closely to see if He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him.He* said to the man with the withered hand,“ Get up and come forward!”And He* said to them,“ Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do harm, to save a life or to kill?” But they kept silent.After looking around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, He* said to the man,“ Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored.The Pharisees went out and immediately began conspiring with the Herodians against Him, as to how they might put Him to death.

Departing from there, He went into their synagogue.And a man was there whose hand was withered. And they questioned Jesus, asking,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”— so that they might bring charges against Him.But He said to them,“ What man is there among you who has a sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out?How much more valuable then is a person than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”Then He* said to the man,“ Stretch out your hand!” He stretched it out, and it was restored to normal, like the other.But the Pharisees went out and conspired against Him, as to how they might destroy Him.

And He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee; and He was teaching them on the Sabbath;

And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and as was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stood up to read.

In these porticoes lay a multitude of those who were sick, blind, limping, or paralyzed.

Jesus was going about in all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.

Now Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.

Therefore some of the Pharisees were saying,“ This man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath.” But others were saying,“ How can a man who is a sinner perform such signs?” And there was dissension among them.

And Jesus responded and said to the lawyers and Pharisees,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath, or not?”

And He laid His hands on her; and immediately she stood up straight again, and began glorifying God.But the synagogue leader, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, began saying to the crowd in response,“ There are six days during which work should be done; so come during them and get healed, and not on the Sabbath day.”

Now it happened that Jesus was passing through some grainfields on a Sabbath, and His disciples were picking the heads of grain, rubbing them in their hands, and eating them.

Now when the king heard the statement of the man of God which he cried out against the altar in Bethel, Jeroboam stretched out his hand from the altar, saying,“ Seize him!” But his hand which he had stretched out toward him dried up, and he could not draw it back to himself.

Woe to the worthless shepherd Who abandons the flock! A sword will be on his arm And on his right eye! His arm will be totally withered, And his right eye will be blind.”
