On another Sabbath he went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was shriveled.

Jesus entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a shriveled hand.In order to accuse him, they were watching him closely to see whether he would heal him on the Sabbath.He told the man with the shriveled hand,“ Stand before us.”Then he said to them,“ Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent.After looking around at them with anger, he was grieved at the hardness of their hearts and told the man,“ Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out, and his hand was restored.Immediately the Pharisees went out and started plotting with the Herodians against him, how they might kill him.

Moving on from there, he entered their synagogue.There he saw a man who had a shriveled hand, and in order to accuse him they asked him,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”He replied to them,“ Who among you, if he had a sheep that fell into a pit on the Sabbath, wouldn’t take hold of it and lift it out?A person is worth far more than a sheep; so it is lawful to do what is good on the Sabbath.”Then he told the man,“ Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out, and it was restored, as good as the other.But the Pharisees went out and plotted against him, how they might kill him.

Then he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbath.

He came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. As usual, he entered the synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up to read.

Within these lay a large number of the disabled— blind, lame, and paralyzed.

Now Jesus began to go all over Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.

As he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath,

Some of the Pharisees said,“ This man is not from God, because he doesn’t keep the Sabbath.” But others were saying,“ How can a sinful man perform such signs?” And there was a division among them.

In response, Jesus asked the law experts and the Pharisees,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?”

Then he laid his hands on her, and instantly she was restored and began to glorify God.But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, responded by telling the crowd,“ There are six days when work should be done; therefore come on those days and be healed and not on the Sabbath day.”

On a Sabbath, he passed through the grainfields. His disciples were picking heads of grain, rubbing them in their hands, and eating them.

When the king heard the message that the man of God had cried out against the altar at Bethel, Jeroboam stretched out his hand from the altar and said,“ Arrest him!” But the hand he stretched out against him withered, and he could not pull it back to himself.

Woe to the worthless shepherd who deserts the flock! May a sword strike his arm and his right eye! May his arm wither away and his right eye go completely blind!”
